At 8months postpartum my periods returned, I decided I would try a hello cup - WOW I wish I had switched sooner! The first time using it was a bit nerve wracking, I was worried I would leak, absolutely no problems and nothing to worry about. I found inserting and removing easy, watching the videos certainly helped that fear! If your thinking about making the switch I would 100% recommend it. The best product for the job!

After making the switch a few years ago from tampons to the Hello Cup, I honestly will never go back. Beside the obvious benefits of saving money and reducing waste, the cup is so much more convenient! I only have to empty it twice a day. This is usually in the morning when I wake up and then again in the evening when I get home from work or uni. Once I got the hang of inserting it correctly, I hardly ever have leakages!! Also, the cup doesn’t give you that yucky, dry feeling when you’re trying to put it in or take it out, like I normally would from using a tampon. It’s also super discreet! No annoying string hanging out!! Honestly, do yourself a favour, give it a go and make the switch ❤️
How cool! You've listed all the benefits and bonuses of having a Hello Cup - we're so pleased that you made the switch! Love from the Hello Cup Team xxx
After thinking about switching to a cup for years, I finally took the plunge and bought a hello cup from a local stockist 3 months ago and I wish I had switched sooner! After watching the video instructions, insertion was super easy (I find sitting on a toilet the easiest way to get the right angle). Removal was a bit trickier, but I found squeezing, twisting then shimmying the cup out the most comfortable way. One issue I had was the toggle stuck out a little bit and was uncomfortable for me, but I read somewhere that flipping the cup inside out would help, so I tried that and now the cup is so comfortable I forget it's there! It's a bit harder to remove this way (no ridges), but bearing down as I removed the cup solved that. When I replace this one, I'll purchase the low cervix version instead. All in all, if you're on the fence, just go for it, these cups are life changing, comfortable and convenient - far better than pads and tampons (no wet strings, no leaks or spills, no having to change every few hours, plus less wastage). I actually almost look forward to my periods now!
Thanks for sharing all the tips you have learned along the way with you Hello Cup! You could also try cutting the toggle off (don't cut any higher than the narrowest mid point or you may cut a hole in the cup!) which would mean you could still use the grip rings to help you remove the cup. I can’t even use tampons and have very heavy and painful periods. This was a god send for me, so easy to use and made me so confident in myself! I’ve never used a mensuration product like this before so I was slightly nervous to begin with. The instructions were very clear and helpful. Taking it out the first time was very nerve racking as it had made its way further up than I expected but given a bit of manoeuvring and peeing like it said to on the instructions I managed just fine! It’s so comfortable! Will definitely continue to use and would recommend to anyone and everyone!
We're so pleased to hear that you were confident enough to have a try of Hello Cup and that it has worked out so well for you! Bearing down gently is a great way to carefully move a cup down and into reach! Love from the Hello Cup Team xxx
I've tried a couple different brands of period cup and hello is the most comfortable, I love it!!!
